We are all very proud of our sport, its traditions and its values. We owe it to ourselves and the horses entrusted to us to ensure that equestrianism flourishes in a doping-free environment.
Whatever your role is in the equestrian world, you know that it must go hand in hand with knowledge of the rules and regulations that govern our sport. They exist to protect the health of our athletes – equine and human – as well as the integrity of our sport.
The FEI website contains everything you need to know and we strongly recommend that you consult it regularly.
Clean Sport for Horses
The FEI’s Clean Sport initiative aims to produce a detailed approach to clean sport as well as incorporating World Anti-Doping Authority (WADA) principles. The use of substances with the potential to affect equine performance, health or welfare and/or with a high potential for misuse are contrary to the integrity of equestrian sport and the welfare of horses.
The following pages provide athletes, grooms and other support personnel with the all of the necessary information regarding the FEI’s Equine Anti-Doping and Controlled Medication Programme and associated testing procedures and test results, equine prohibited substances and resources related to the medication of horses and educational material.
